The Director-General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mrs. Zubaida Umar, on Friday, 6th March 2026, joined other distinguished personalities at a high-level ministerial press briefing on the Renewed Hope Social Impact Intervention, hosted by the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development Mrs Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim in Abuja.

The event also marked the official flag-off of activities for the 2026 International Women’s Day celebration, underscoring the Federal Government’s commitment to advancing gender inclusion, women’s empowerment, and greater participation of women in national development.
