Department of Training
The Department of Training was established from the former Department of Planning, Research and Forecasting. Department of Planning, Research and Forecasting (DPRF) in September 2006. The department is charged with the responsibility of developing training programmes that will sustain the capacity building strategy of the Agency, undertake research and curriculum development aimed at sensitizing a culture of disaster resilience to enhance sustainable development in Nigeria.

The Department is essentially concerned with humanitarian relief interventions and rehabilitation of human/vulnerable groups affected by disasters. This is to enable affected victims overcome the stress, traumas and enhance their recovery.
